Privacy policy

This policy explains how the 囍 Big Day app (iPhone and Android) handles your data. 囍 Big Day is made and run by Kwok Cheung Poon.

What we collect

• The wedding details you enter: its name and date, run sheet, checklist, budget, suppliers, the names and (if given) phone numbers of members and guests, seating and gift amounts.
• Photos, videos and files you upload.
• For each signed-in phone: its model name (such as “iPhone”), when it was last used, and its push notification token.
• Purchase receipts, to check purchases with Apple or Google. We never receive your card details.

There are no accounts, we don’t ask for your email, and there are no ads or tracking analytics.

How it’s used

Only to run the app: syncing the wedding to the people in it, sending the alarms and notifications you set up, and checking purchases. We don’t sell your data or share it for any other purpose.

Who can see it

• The couple and planners see the whole wedding.
• The bridal party see the run sheet items shared with them, their own tasks, the member list and the album.
• Guests see only their invitation: the date, venue, the times the couple chose to show, the menu and — once the couple shows seating — the names at their table.

Where it’s stored

Wedding data and files are stored on Cloudflare’s servers (the database in Western Europe, files in Asia-Pacific) and encrypted in transit. Photos and files are never public; they open only through links that expire. Notifications are sent through Apple Push Notification service (iPhone) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android).

How long we keep it

A wedding stays open for 999 days after payment, then becomes read-only. Photos and files are deleted 90 days after that unless the couple buys more time. Signing a phone out deletes its sign-in and push token. The couple can delete members, guests, items and files at any time.

Access and deletion

You can see and change your data in the app. To get a copy, correct it, or have a whole wedding deleted, email bigday@twinkle.hk and we’ll deal with it within 30 days.

Children

囍 Big Day is not meant for children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update it on this page with a new date.
